Structure of Pain and Palliative Care Committees
|As per the GO(P)No.3217/2015/LSGD dated 29/10/2015 (Revised Guidelines for the implementation of Pain and Palliative Care activities) two committees should be constituted,
Palliative Care Management Committee (PMC) : This committee should be constituted at the beginning of every year intended to supervise overall activities of Pain and Palliative Care activities.
Structure of Pain and Palliative Care Management Committee (PMC):
Chairperson : President of Grama Panchayat / Chairperson of Municipality / Mayer of Corporation
Vice Chairman : Chairperson of Health & Education Standing Committee
Member : Chairperson of Welfare Standing Committee
Member : Secretary of Grama Panchayat / Municipality / Corporation
Members : Two panchayat members decided by the Panchayat (Out of which one lady)
Member : Community Development Society Chairperson
Mamber : CDS Member Secretary
Members : Block & District Panchayat Members of concerned Panchayat area
Members : Two trained members of Home Care Team
Member : Medical Officer of Allopathy / Ayurveda
Member : Palliative Care Nurse
Member : Field Worker of PHC
Member Secretary : Medical Officer of PHC/ CHC/ Govt Hospital / Taluk Hospital / District Hospital / General Hospital

Chairperson : President of Grama Panchayat / Chairperson of Municipality / Mayer of Corporation
Convenor : Medical Officer, PHC (Implementing Officer of Pain and Palliative Care Project)
Member : Chairperson of Health & Education Standing Committee
Member : Chairperson of Welfare Standing Committee
Member : Medical Officer of Ayurveda
Member : Medical Officer of Homoeopathy
Member : Secretary of Grama Panchayat / Municipality / Corporation
Members : Two panchayat members decided by the Panchayat (Out of which one lady)
